Gilty on the Terrace was established in 1985 by Anne Rodrigues in Adelaide, South Australia
From an early age Anne has been passionate about art and antiques, scouring antique shops and art galleries in her spare time.
Anne trained in London with gilder and restorer Jacqueline Horsford and back in her hometown Sydney she worked for renowned picture framer Charles Hewitt, where she was involved in making reproduction composition picture frames as well as gilding and restoring antique frames.
Moving to Adelaide in 1985 and setting up a retail showroom and gilding workshop with husband Tony where they gained a loyal following.
Anne and Tony spent 25 years specialising in the restoration and gilding of many of Adelaide's finest antiques as well as large scale architectural gilding projects including the Medina Grand Hotel, Adelaide University, the landmark beehive corner bee and frame restoration for the Art Gallery of South Australia, Antique dealers and numerous private clients.
To complement this work they started manufacturing a range of gilded reproduction French and English style overmantel and wall mirrors for many homes in Adelaide working closely with Interior Designers and Architects.
Returning to Sydney in 2014 Anne again worked for Charles Hewitt frames until his retirement in 2015.
